The Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies meet head-to-head in Summer League action on Sunday night. Minnesota stayed in control during their opening game against the Denver Nuggets and it led to an 85-78 victory. Rookie Josh Minott posted a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies never found their footing against the Los Angeles Clippers in a 94-76 defeat. Undrafted rookie Kenny Lofton Jr. was the lone bright spot for Memphis as he scored 18 points and logged 4 rebounds off of the bench. The Grizzlies only got to the free throw line 12 times as a team.

Timberwolves vs Grizzlies Prediction & Pick

The Timberwolves feel a bit undervalued in this spot. Minnesota saw four players score in double-digits during their first game and only turned the ball over 12 times. This is a team built on size and the presence of Minott, David McCormack and Wendell Moore in the paint is a scary sight.

The Grizzlies struggled to show signs of life against the Clippers, shooting just 26.3% from beyond the arc and racking up 27 personal fouls. 2022 first-round pick Jake LaRavia took only 4 shots in 20 minutes played and fellow rookie Kennedy Chandler shot 3-for-11 overall. Improvement is needed.

I'll take a chance on a balanced Timberwolves team covering the +4.5 spread (-115).
