O'Connor is a Group 1 winner in Chile, where he won 9-of-10 races as a long distance specialist. His last race has affected his odds in the Pegasus, as O'Connor finished 4th in the Grade 3 Harlan's Holiday at Gulfstream. O'Connor was the favorite that race on New Year's Eve, which was won by Skippylongstocking. He did win an Allowance race over this track in his U.S. debut in October. O'Connor will sit off the projected fast pace and make a run late with new jockey Javier Castellano looking for the upset at a price for the Championship Meet's leading trainer, Saffie Joseph, Jr.
