Week 16 of the 2022 NFL season features a slate of Christmas Eve matchups, including an AFC South collision between the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans.

The Texans enter the week having lost each of their last nine outings, including a 30-24 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs over the weekend. Meanwhile, the Titans lost, 17-14, to the Los Angeles Chargers, marking the former's fourth straight defeat.

Can the Texans pull off a Christmas miracle with their first victory since Oct. 9? Or will the Titans give their rivals a stock full of coal with a strong home effort?

Texans vs Titans Odds & Spread

All NFL betting lines, odds and prop bets are from FanDuel Sportsbook.
Moneyline: HOU (+265) | TEN: (-330)
Spread: HOU: +7 (-110) | TEN: -7 (-110)
Total: 38.5 —Over: (-110) | Under: (-110)

The Titans enter this contest as clear home favorites on the moneyline and spread on FanDuel Sportsbook's odds. This Christmas Eve matchup also features an over/under of 38.5, which is tied for the third-lowest of the fourth-lowest of the Week 16 totals.

Texans vs Titans Prediction & Pick

Even though QB Ryan Tannehill's status is up in the air due to an ankle injury, the Titans should be fine in this one as long as Derrick Henry plays up to his potential. The dynamic rusher has 892 rushing yards with nine touchdowns on 120 carries over his last four games against Houston, going over 200 yards with at least two scores in each outing.

Unfortunately for the Texans, history will likely repeat itself. They have the worst run defense in the NFL this season, allowing the most rushing yards while a league-high 20 TDs to running backs (17 rushing, three receiving). If Henry can get things going early on, Houston will, no doubt, have a hard time getting back into the game.

Expect the Titans to sweep the season series this weekend.

Final Score Prediction: TItans: 20 | Texans: 13

Texans vs Titans Betting Trends

- Houston is 1-7 straight up in its last eight road games.
- Tennessee is 8-3-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last 12 games.
- The total has hit the under in four of Houston's last six games.
- The total has hit the under in five of Tennessee's last six home games against Houston.

Texans vs Titans Best Bet

Although the Titans have won five of their last six games against the Texans, things have been surprisingly close. Each of Tennessee's last four wins in the rivalry has been by an average of just 4.8 points. The Texans covering the spread in 12 of the last 18 meetings only has me further questioning if the Titans can cover this weekend.

Rather than taking the Titans on the spread, I'm going for them winning this game by one to 13 points at +130 odds. Going down that path gives leeway in case the Texans keep things close while also providing more value than going with the Titans as spread favorites.

Bet: Titans Win Margin — 1 to 13 Points (+130)
