Tennessee Bowl Game History

Tennessee has frequented the college football postseason throughout its history. The Vols have played in 55 bowl games all-time.

The Volunteers made their first bowl appearance in 1939 as part of the SEC. They defeated Oklahoma 17-0 at the Orange Bowl that year.

Tennessee has qualified for 15 bowls since the 2000 NCAAF campaign. The Volunteers emerged victorious in their last postseason appearance, defeating Clemson 31-14 in the 2022 Orange Bowl.
