The time has come to crown a champion. Every college football bowl game has been played except one as the No. 3 TCU Horned Frogs are set to battle the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs in the CFP National Championship on Jan. 9, 2023. One talented team will etch its name into the history books forever.

TCU picked apart Michigan in a 51-45 Fiesta Bowl win on Saturday and will be fighting for its third national title in program history. Meanwhile, Georgia outlasted Ohio State in a 42-41 Peach Bowl win and will be aiming to earn its fourth national title in program history. Which team will get the job done?

TCU vs Georgia Odds & Spread

Moneyline: TCU: (+375) | UGA: (-500)
Spread: TCU: +13.5 (-110) | UGA: -13.5 (-110)
Total: 62.5 — Over: (-114) | Under: (-106)

Georgia enters this contest as a heavy favorite on the moneyline and spread. This clash also features a total of 62.5 points, which is notably set higher than either total was in the CFP Semifinal matchups.

TCU vs Georgia Prediction & Pick

TCU enters this game as a massive underdog after being just the second Big 12 team to make the College Football Playoff. It's safe to say the Horned Frogs embrace the role, though. They have been exceeding expectations all year long, but run into the best team in the country on Monday.

Georgia and TCU ranks very similarly on the offensive side of the ball. They each check in among the top 15 teams in points per game, average scoring margin and rushing yards per game. It's on defense where the Bulldogs shine. They allow only 15.9 points (No. 5 in FBS) on 318.2 yards (No. 10) per game.

These teams last met in the 2016 Liberty Bowl, where head coach Kirby Smart led the Bulldogs to a 31-23 victory in his first year. I see a comparable contest going down on Monday. Georgia is packed with talent on both sides of the ball and should pull away in the second half.

Final Score Prediction: TCU: 31 | Georgia: 38

TCU vs Georgia Betting Trends

- TCU is 6-2 against the spread (ATS) in its last eight games.

- Georgia is 16-0 straight up in its last 16 games as a favorite.
- The total has hit the over in four of Georgia's last five games.

TCU vs Georgia Best Bet

All signs point to a shootout in the National Championship. TCU scored a touchdown on every red zone possession against Michigan and Georgia enters Monday ranked first in the entire country when it comes to red zone scoring percentage (.972). These are two elite offenses that know how to score.

The total has hit the over in five of TCU's last seven games as an underdog as well as in four of Georgia's last five games overall. The Bulldogs and Horned Frogs are each averaging at least 39.0 points per game on the year, too. The extra time for game-planning give the offenses an advantage.

Bet: Over 62.5 Points (-114)
