The 2022-23 college football playoff has lived up to the hype. Both the Georgia Bulldogs and TCU Horned Frogs advanced to the Naitonal Championship game after a pair of thrilling back-and-forth matchups in the semifinals.

Now, both sides must prepare to lay it all on the line with hopes of taking home that coveted national title trophy in 2023. FanDuel Sportsbook has already released odds and lines for the national championship, giving us an early preview of the upcoming battle.

TCU vs Georgia Odds & Lines National Championship

All NCAAF betting lines, odds and prop bets are from FanDuel Sportsbook.
Moneyline: TCU: (+400) | UGA: (-550)
Spread: TCU: +13.5 (-110) | UGA: -13.5 (-110)
Total: 61.5 — Over: (-110) | Under: (-110)

The opening odds list the Georgia Bulldogs as heavy favorites. Not only is Georgia -550 on the moneyline, but they are favored by 13.5 points. The over/under sits at 61.5 points to begin the week.

TCU vs Georgia Prediction National Championship

Early NCAAF predictions and picks are from ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI).
TCU Horned Frogs: 27.8% to win
Georgia Bulldogs: 72.2% to win

It will be interesting to see if defense shows up in the National Championship. Strong defensive efforts were nowhere to be found in the semifinals while Georgia and TCU combined for 93 offensive points in their respective matchups. They also allowed 86 points on defense.

Any ideas of Max Duggan and his TCU squad not being a legit contender were broken to pieces in the semifinals. Michigan was supposed to crush TCU thanks to their fierce defense and instead, the two sides threw punches down to the final seconds of the game.

Georgia is clearly the best team in college football. They spent the majority of the year winning with a dominant defense, but have shown their ability to take home a shootout in the SEC Championship and semifinal round.

I like Georgia in this matchup, but I'll be shocked if we don't see another back-and-forth, high-flying offensive affair. Take the over at 61.5 points (-110).
