Steelers Get Concerning Pat Freiermuth Injury Update Ahead of Week 15

Updated:

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth has been a dependable presence all year for this offense. However, he was seen in the Steelers locker room wearing a walking boot after Week 14, which is obviously not a great sign.

Pat Freiermuth Injury Update

It's now been revealed the second-year TE is dealing with a foot injury. He's expected to be limited in practice, though there doesn't appear to be major worries about his Week 15 status just yet.

Freiermuth has seen an uptick in production during his second pro season. He has already surpassed his rookie-year total in receiving yards and is on pace to do the same with receptions. With few legitmate pass catching options on the Steelers roster after the trade of Chase Claypool, Freiermuth's abilities in the passing game have become that much more important.

Several players have been plagued by foot injuries throughout the 2022 season. Hopefully Freiermuth's is on the less severe side and he can suit up with no problems on Sunday.

The Steelers take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 15, where Pittsburgh is a 2.5-point road underdog, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
