The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals meet head-to-head in a Week 1 AFC North battle to kick off their NFL seasons. The Steelers will aim to start the post-Ben Roethlisberger era on a high note and will look to Mitchell Trubisky to earn a victory. He has more than enough weapons to do so.

Meanwhile, the Bengals exceeded all expectations by winning the AFC Championship in 2021 and coming oh so close to a Super Bowl title. MVP candidate Joe Burrow returns to lead a daunting offense and key additions like Ted Karras and Alex Cappa should provide him with more protection.

The moneyline and spread have both continued to shift in Cincinnati's favor, with the moneyline moving up to -330 and the spread increasing to -7.5 for the defending AFC champs.

While the moneyline and spread have both seen considerable movement, the total has held steady at 44.5 points for this Week 1 AFC North clash.

Steelers vs Bengals Prediction & Pick

Divisional battles can be tough to predict, but the Bengals have a clear advantage heading into this one. Trubisky is learning an entire new playbook and Burrow is not. It cannot be overlooked that Cincinnati returns every offensive weapon that guided them to a top-10 scoring average in 2021.

Keep in mind the Bengals have taken down the Steelers in each of their last three matchups and each game was decided by 10 or more points. Pittsburgh was also outscored by a ridiculous 78 points on the road last season. Look for those struggles away from home to continue, at least in Week 1.

Final Score Prediction: Steelers: 14 | Bengals: 27

Steelers vs Bengals Betting Trends

- Pittsburgh is 11-3 straight up in its last 14 games against Cincinnati.
- The total has hit the under in six of Pittsburgh's last eight games in September.
- Cincinnati is 4-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last five home games.
- The total has hit the under in four of Cincinnati's last five games in September.

Steelers vs Bengals Best Bet

The Bengals are the clear favorite here, but a ton of value lies in betting on the total. Five of the last seven matchups between Cincinnati and Pittsburgh have had less than 45 total points scored. In 2021, 12 of the Steeler's 17 regular season games also finished below the 45-point mark.

It's going to take some time for the Steelers to gel on offense given how many new faces are on the roster. Meanwhile, the Bengals should look to rush the ball against a Pittsburgh defense that finished with the sixth-worst rush defense DVOA rating last year. That's a recipe for a low-scoring competition.

Bet: Under 44.5 Points(-110)
