There are a few NCAA college basketball games slated for Christmas Day, including a Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic matchup between the Seattle U Redhawks and George Washington Colonials.

Neither team has had much luck lately, both entering this contest following back-to-back losses. Seattle fell short to Iona, 83-72, on Friday while George Washington was also in action yesterday, losing 81-70 to Pepperdine due to a second-half collapse.

Can Seattle finally pick up a win at the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic? Or will George Washington spoil the Redhawks' Christmas joy with a victory of its own?

Seattle vs George Washington Prediction

Being out-rebounded, 40-26, is one of the reasons why George Washington fell to Pepperdine. Unfortunately for the Colonials, Seattle is one of the better rebounding teams in the nation, averaging 38.1 boards per game (No. 54) and should give George Washington plenty of trouble in the paint.

When the Colonials fell behind, their poor three-point shooting (2-of-11, 18.1%) made it tough for them to catch the Waves. The bad news for the former is that the Redhawks allow just 6.1 threes (T-No. 69) on 31.1% shooting (T-No. 81), meaning that falling behind early on could spell lights out for George Washington.

At the end of the day, Seattle has looked more competitive than George Washington at the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, so I'll take the Redhawks in this one.

Final Score Prediction: Seattle: 73 | George Washington: 67

Seattle vs George Washington Betting Trends

- Seattle is 1-6 against the spread (ATS) in its last seven games.
- George Washington is 1-4 straight up in its last five games.
- The total has hit the under in four of Seattle's last six games.
- The total has hit the under in five of George Washington's last seven games.

Seattle vs George Washington Best Bet

When it comes to the best bet, I'm looking at the total finishing under 144.5 points. The offense hasn't been there for either team lately. Seattle is averaging 64.5 points in its last four games while George Washington is operating at a 70.8 PPG clip in its last four, finishing with exactly 64 points in two of those games.

The under is also 4-2 in Seattle's last six games while also being 5-2 in George Washington's last seven outings. With the lack of offense that the Redhawks and Colonials have displayed over the last few days, I'm predicting another lower-than-expected total.

Bet: Under 145.5 Points (-110)
