Seattle Seahawks Training Camp Dates, Schedule & Location 2022

Updated:

Teams across the NFL are preparing to ramp up for the 2022 regular season with the start of training camp. The Seattle Seahawks are one of the last squads to take the field as the preseason nears.

Here's everything Seahawks fans need to know about training camp this year.

When Does Seattle Seahawks Training Camp Start?

Each team has two separate start dates for training camp, as rookies are often required to report a few days before veterans. However, the Seahawks are not one of those teams as both rookies and vets will report to training camp on Tuesday, July 26.

This gives just two weeks to prepare for the team's first preseason game on Aug. 13.

Seahawks rookies and veterans will report for training camp on July 26. Seattle will then host practices to get ready for its first preseason game on Aug. 13.

The Seahawks' first preseason game is on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Seattle also plays again on Aug. 18 (vs. Chicago Bears) and Aug. 26 (@ Dallas Cowboys).

The Seahawks will suit up on Monday, Sept. 12 versus the Denver Broncos in Week 1 of the 2022 campaign.

One situation that Seahawks fans will be monitoring in the coming weeks surrounds running back Chris Carson. The veteran rusher's playing situation has been up in the air ever since neck surgery prematurely ended his 2021 campaign.

The only major update about Carson's future came last month during minicamp. The Seahawks revealed that the 27-year-old won't be cleared for contact until training camp, however, the organization has been silent since then.

Considering that head coach Pete Carroll also alluded to the idea of Carson's career potentially being over, it's understandable that Seattle fans are curious about his status. Regardless, we should have a better idea of his situation before the end of the month.
