Seamus Power PGA Championship 2023 Odds, History & Prediction (Avoid Backing Power to Exceed Expectations)

Updated:

With the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson behind us, the golf world's attention is now officially turned to the PGA Championship.

One of the most prestigious events in golf, the PGA Championship has the ability to launch any golfer's career to new heights. Seamus Power will aim to cash in on that opportunity as he has only logged two wins in his PGA Tour career.

Here's everything you need to know about Seamus Power's PGA Championship odds and history heading into the 2023 event.

Seamus Power PGA Championship Odds & Prop Bets

Seamus Power has +21000 odds to win the PGA Championship on FanDuel Sportsbook. This has him ranked No. 51 in the field, ahead of Thomas Pieters and behind Keith Mitchell.

Seamus Power PGA Championship Prediction 2023

Seamus Power had an amazing stretch of golf back in late 2022 when he posted three straight top-5 finishes. However, he hasn't been able to find that same kind of success since the calendar turned to 2023. The 36-year-old has failed to post a top-40 finish in four of his last six PGA Tour appearances.

It's easy to think that Power can recapture momentum this weekend considering he did finish T9 in his PGA Championship debut last year. It's worth noting that he has yet to play at Oak Hill before, though, which is a course that forces golfers to rely on their approach game due to its smaller greens.

Power only ranks 149th in Strokes Gained: Approach the Green and has never been one to shine when it comes to chip shots. I'll take on the juiced odds for Power to make the cut (-140) as he done so in 12 of his last 14 PGA Tour events, but I'm not willing to back him to go any further than that.
