Many fans thought that Russell Wilson would march the Denver Broncos into Lumen Field on Monday and easily beat his former team, the Seattle Seahawks. That didn't happen. Instead, Seattle pulled off a shocking 17-16 victory thanks to play-calling gaffes from Denver's coaches in the fourth quarter.

The Seahawks didn't waste much time before trolling their former quarterback. Shortly after the victory, Seattle's Twitter team posted a photoshopped video with Seahawks players' faces from a scene from Three Amigos! (1986), which includes Wilson's now-infamous catchphrase.

Broncos vs Seahawks Week 1

The best part of the epic troll job is that it's Geno Smith's face on Steve Martin's character, who utters, "Let's ride." Wilson began using the phrase once he joined the Broncos this offseason due to the organization's logo being, well, a horse.

Smith was pegged as a massive downgrade from Wilson, but it was the journeyman who got the last laugh on Monday. The Seahawks' gunslinger completed 23-of-28 passes for 195 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Even Seattle defensive end Shelby Harris — who played with the Broncos from 2017 until 2021 — got in on the trolling. Harris, who was traded to the Seahawks in the Wilson deal, was asked about what the victory meant to him, only to respond with a simple "Let's ride."

Wilson better get used to having his new motto mocked. He's under contract with the Broncos until 2028 and there's no doubt that opposing teams and fanbases will make fun of and meme-ify his catchphrase every time he comes up short.

At the end of the day, the Seahawks proved that they'll be just fine without Wilson going forward. Only time will tell if Wilson will be fine without them when his Broncos host the Houston Texans on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
