Oliveira vs Marcos Prediction

A victory here would mean a lot to either fighter in their early UFC careers. On one hand, Saimon Oliveira hopes to bounce back following a unanimous decision loss to Tony Gravely in the former's UFC PPV debut, ending his five-fight winning streak in the process.

On the other, the undefeated Daniel Marcos makes his PPV debut at UFC 283. He's shown tremendous ability to finish off his opponents, picking up knockout victories in four of his last seven fights. Furthermore, he has momentum stemming from a unanimous decision win over Brandon Lewis on Dana White's Contender Series 2022.

In a fight where neither man has much UFC experience, I'm siding with Marcos. His 84% takedown defense rate should keep him on his feet, where he has the striking advantage. He averages more significant strikes per minute (5.40) than Oliveira (2.73) with better accuracy (47% vs. 44%).

It'll be a close one, but I see Marcos being victorious in his PPV debut.
