Sahith Theegala RBC Heritage 2023 Odds, History & Prediction (Theegala Aims to Increase Consecutive Cut Streak)

Updated:

Just because The Masters is behind us doesn't mean the golf season is slowing down at all. Next up is the prestigious RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links.

Sahith Theegala impressed at Augusta last week, finish ninth with a score of -5 for the tournament. It was quite a performance from the first-time Masters participant as he wowed the crowd with a score of 67 in Round 4. It'll be interesting to see if that momentum follows Theegala to South Carolina.

Here's everything you need to know about Shane Sahith Theegala's RBC Heritage odds and history at Harbour Town heading into the 2023 tournament.

Sahith Theegala has +6000 odds to win the RBC Heritage, which has him slated for the 25th best odds among anyone in the field at Harbour Town.

Sahith Theegala RBC Heritage Prediction 2023

Theegala showed why he is considered a rising name in the golf world last weekend when he stepped up under the bright lights. The 25-year-old has been doing that throughout the 2022-23 PGA Tour as he has now tallied a solid six top-10 finishes and made the cut in 13 of his 14 tournaments played.

Theegala has a chance to keep momentum rolling this week at Harbour Town, too. He posted a score of -2 through the first three rounds at the RBC Heritage in 2022 before a score of +8 in the final round doomed his chance at a respectable finish. A bad ending shouldn't overshadow a great performance.

There's certainly room for concern here, as his play off the tee (81st in driving distance but 150th in driving accuracy) isn't a great fit at Harbour town, but ranking a respectable 63rd on Tour in Strokes Gained: Approach goes a long way to ease those worries.

Keep in mind Theegala leads the PGA Tour in year-to-date consecutive cuts made (13), so backing him to make the cut here is a safe option (-235). I find myself leaning toward trusting Theegala for a top-30 finish (+125) due to the fact that he had a shot to finish that high last year before a disastrous finish.
