Sahith Theegala Masters 2023 Odds, History & Prediction (Don't Expect Much in First Augusta Appearance)

Updated:

With the 2023 Valero Texas Open behind us, the golf world's attention is now officially turned to The Masters.

There's no more prestigious event in golf, and winning The Masters can solidify a golfer's legacy. For someone like Sahith Theegala, having never competed at Augusta, putting together a solid debut has to be at the front of his mind.

Here's everything you need to know about Sahith Theegala's Masters odds and history heading into the 2023 event.

Sahith Theegala Masters Odds & Prop Bets (Updated)

Round 3 Update: Theegala has really made a name for himself so far this season, and as Round 3 gets going on Saturday at Augusta, he sits at 1-under par, but is all the way back at +75000 in the odds to win The Masters, which are the second-worst odds of anyone remaining in the field.

Sahith Theegala has +12000 odds to win The Masters on FanDuel Sportsbook. This has him tied for No. 33 in the field alongside golfers such as Bryson DeChambeu, Si Woo Kim and Thomas Pieters.

Has Sahith Theegala Ever Won the Masters? (Best Finish, Results & History)

Sahith Theegala has never won The Masters. In fact, the 25-year-old has never played in The Masters prior to the 2023 tournament.

Sahith Theegala Masters Prediction 2023

Theegala continues to rise up the rankings as a 25-year-old best known for the collegiate accolades he earned while playing at Pepperdine. He gets an opportunity to become a household name as he is set to play at The Masters for the first time in his career. It'll be interesting to see if he has any nerves.

More 2023 Masters betting content from The Duel:

Theegala's recent play showcases a serious up-and-down run on the PGA Tour — which is understandable considering his age and relative lack of experience. He has posted five top-10 finishes during the 2022-23 season, but he has also posted four finishes outside the top 40 as well. He recently placed 74th at the Valero Texas Open at the end of March.

It is worth noting Theegala ranks outside the top 50 golfers in Strokes Gained (SG): Total as well as SG: Off the Tee and SG: Putting. He is seemingly still trying to find his footing and getting minus odds on even a top-40 finish isn't offering much value. I'd avoid betting Theegala this week. Playing at Augusta for the first time is never easy.
