Houston Rockets (2-2) vs. Sacramento Kings (2-2)
Date: Saturday, July 16, 2022
Time: 9 p.m. ET
Venue: Cox Pavilion — Las Vegas, NV
Coverage: ESPN3

The Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings square off in Las Vegas Summer League action on Saturday. The Rockets enter this matchup in search of a rebound performance following an 85-77 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.

The Kings look to win their second game in as many days after disposing of the Phoenix Suns, 82-69, on Friday. It was a solid team effort for Sacramento led by 2022 first-round pick Keegan Murray, who finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double.

Houston enters this contest as the slight favorite on the moneyline and spread. This 9 p.m. ET clash also features one of the lower totals for Saturday's slate of games at 169.5.

Rockets vs Kings Prediction & Pick

Even though the Rockets are the favorites, there are some good reasons to believe in the Kings. For starters, Sacramento shot 50.8% from the field and 41.7% from three-point range in its win over Phoenix, whereas Houston finished with abysmal .317/.184/.600 shooting splits in its last effort.

While the Kings are also operating on less stress, I love how dominant Murray has been. He ranks fifth in Summer League scoring 23.3 points per game while averaging more minutes (31.9) than anyone else. The Rockets will have a tough time containing him and he could wind up being the deciding factor.

I think the Kings have a great chance to score the upset win tonight, which is why you should take them at +106 on the moneyline.
