Super Bowl commercials have always been extravagant. With brands spending millions of dollars for a 30-second spot every year, you have to go big when you purchase a Super Bowl ad.
This year, FanDuel Sportsbook is taking things to the next level for its Super Bowl commercial. Former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers superstar tight end Rob Gronkowski will attempt a field goal live during the commercial with $10 million in free bets on the line for FanDuel customers who bet on the game using FanDuel.

The five-time Pro-Bowler will attempt a 25-yard field goal live. If he kicks it, anyone who has placed a bet on the Super Bowl using FanDuel Sportsbook will split $10 million in free bets. The commerical is set to air sometime during the game's third quarter, so make sure you turn your attention back to the game right after the halftime show.

More info is set to be released about the upcoming promotion and commercial in the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl.
Gronk recently told the Associated press the following.
"Obviously, I can catch a football. ... Why not try to kick a field goal? And on top of it, I was punt, pass and kick champion in the western New York region when I was growing up, as well. So I love kicking field goals. I used to practice all the time. This is an opportunity to help my fans out there to win $10 million in free bets, which is mind-blowing.”- Rob Gronkowski, Associated Press
While Gronk might not have any professional kicking experience, he has proven in his younger days to be up to the task, and this time around he will only be competing with himself.
FanDuel is breaking some ground here in a pretty awesome and interactive way with this commercial. The country and football world might be split on who they will be rooting for to win the Big Game, but one thing we can all unite in rooting for is Gronk to nail this field goal.
