Ravens Reveal Details of Rashod Bateman's Mysterious Injury

Updated:

The Baltimore Ravens remained without top wide receiver Rashod Bateman in Week 6, who missed his second straight game with a foot injury. On Monday, head coach John Harbaugh provided more details as well as an update on the injury.

Rashod Bateman Injury

According to Harbaugh, Bateman is dealing with a sprained left foot specifically. Fortunately for the Ravens, he appears close to returning.

Baltimore has split its two games without Bateman, beating the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5 before falling to the New York Giants in Week 6. The 22-year-old wideout had already established himself as the Ravens' No. 1 receiver and one of Lamar Jackson's top weapons before going down, racking up 243 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns on 11 catches over the first four games of the season.

After alternating wins and losses over their first six weeks, the Ravens hope that Bateman's return can help the team be more consistent going forward. The second-year pro would provide a major boost to the offense, as Jackson doesn't have too many pass-catching options beyond Mark Andrews at the moment.

If Bateman is cleared to play in Week 7, he'll try to help Baltimore take down the Cleveland Browns at home. The Ravens are currently listed as 6.5-point favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds for this AFC North divisional matchup.
