Time: 1 p.m. ET
Venue: MetLife Stadium — East Rutherford, NJ

Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season includes a showdown between the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets. The Ravens looked like a championship threat after starting off 8-3 in 2021, only to drop six straight games to end the year. After losing No. 1 wide receiver Marquise Brown in the offseason, it remains to be seen how (and if) Baltimore can bounce back.

Meanwhile, the Jets haven't been a good team in a long time and fans hope that changes this year. New York had one of the better performances at the 2022 NFL Draft and even made some decent free agent signings, leaving time to tell if things will be better in Robert Saleh's second year as head coach.

Ravens vs Jets Odds & Spread

All NFL betting lines, odds and prop bets are from FanDuel Sportsbook.
Moneyline: BAL: (-295) | NYJ: (+240)
Spread: BAL: -6.5 (-112) | NYJ: +6.5 (-108)
Total: 44.5 — Over: (-108) | Under: (-112)

Updated (Sunday, Sept. 11, 11:50 a.m. EST): Updated odds were provided from FanDuel Sportsbook. The point spread remains steady at 6.5 points in favor of the Ravens while Baltimore's moneyline increased slightly to -295.

The Ravens enter this contest as the favorite on the moneyline and the spread. This 1 p.m. ET clash also features a total of 44.5, which is roughly average compared to this week's NFL projected totals.

Ravens vs Jets Prediction & Pick

Even if the Ravens' offense doesn't look as promising compared to past years, Lamar Jackson is still one of the best young quarterbacks in the game. Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman have the potential to be a solid pass-catching duo, plus Baltimore's run game should help keep opponents honest.

While the Jets might not be as talented as the Ravens overall, Joe Flacco will be hungry to get a win against his former team. The 37-year-old looked solid in his lone start last year and with New York having the better collection of wide receivers here, I could see Flacco and co. keeping things closer than expected.

Nevertheless, I still expect the Ravens to win in the end.

Final Score Prediction: Ravens: 24 | Jets: 20

Ravens vs Jets Betting Trends

- Baltimore is 9-1 straight up in its last 10 games against the Jets.
- The Jets are 2-10 against the spread (ATS) in their last 12 games against Baltimore.
- The total has hit the under in six of Baltimore's last nine games.
- The total has hit the over in 10 of the Jets' last 14 games.

Ravens vs Jets Best Bet

As mentioned before, there are a lot of questions surrounding the Ravens' offense in 2022. Even though I still think that they're the better team here, the Jets have enough offensive playmakers to make things close. With both defenses looking solid, I could see this game finishing under the 44.5-point total.

Bet: Under 44.5 Points (-112)
