The NFL was able to garner more excitement for the 2022 season by releasing entire schedules for each of the 32 franchises on Thursday night. Fans are now digging deep into every matchup and trying to determine whether or not their favorite team has a real shot at winning the Super Bowl.
Ravens vs Jets Week 1 Odds
The good news is FanDuel Sportsbook has already posted opening lines for each Week 1 NFL game. With plenty of great games on the slate in Week 1, the Baltimore Ravens traveling to take on the New York Jets definitely sticks out as an advantageous matchup for one side.
Ravens vs Jets Opening Odds
According to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds, the Ravens head into MetLife Stadium as 5.5-point favorites over the hometown Jets, with odds set at -110 for either team to cover the spread. Baltimore also holds -245 moneyline odds, while New York is +200 to pull off an early season upset.
These two teams are relatively unfamiliar with one another, only meeting head-to-head 11 times in NFL history. The Ravens are 9-2 straight up in those games, which includes a 42-21 blowout in 2019. Quarterback Lamar Jackson racked up 298 total yards and 5 touchdowns in that contest.
Baltimore will continue to lean on Jackson and hope to get back to a successful rushing formula after using a more balanced attack in 2021. Meanwhile, Jets' second-year pro Zach Wilson is in need of a major step up this season or else the fans may start getting worried that he isn't the answer at QB.
A look at the Super Bowl odds shows just how much of a mismatch this Week 1 game could be. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Ravens slated at +2000 odds (T-No. 10) to win Super Bowl LVII in February, whereas the Jets check in at +15000 odds (No. 30).
