Ravens Get Concerning JK Dobbins Injury Update After Limited Week 6 Usage

Updated:

One of the biggest questions during the Baltimore Ravens' Week 6 loss was what happened to running back JK Dobbins. The RB was almost nonexistent on Sunday, tallying just seven carries while Kenyan Drake took on a prominent role within the offense.

After the game, Baltimore the concerning reason why Dobbins was so limited in Week 6.

Head coach John Harbaugh said Dobbins' knee "tightend up" on Sunday, which led to his smaller workload.

This at least explains the RB's absence in the second half, but it's certainly a cause for concern. Though Dobbins has returned to the field for Baltimore, he's still very much getting back to his normal self after his ACL tear. The Ravens have exercised caution since his debut in Week 3, yet this tweak could ultimately be a setback.

Dobbins has admitted some frustration with his reduced role as he gets back to 100%. He was held to 50% of the team's offensive snaps or fewer in each of his first three games, and averaged a meager 9.3 rushing attempts per contest.

Hopefully Dobbins isn't forced to miss any time after Sunday's flare-up. It remains to be seen what his role will be in Week 7, though, especially with fellow RB Gus Edwards also aiming to make his return from injury.
