Week 8 of the 2022 NFL season is here, bringing a few exciting matchups. There's even some inter-conference action slated for the weekend, including a game between the Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints. The Raiders hope to win back-to-back games for the first time this year, while the Saints seek to avoid the sixth loss in their last seven outings.

Can the Raiders snatch their first road win of the year on Saturday? Or will the Saints figure out a way to stop their downward spiral?

Raiders vs Saints Odds

According to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds, the Raiders are a slight -116 favorite on the moneyline (1.5-point spread) in a game with an over/under of 49.5.

What should NFL fans expect in this matchup, and where can bettors find value?

Raiders vs Saints Prediction and Best Bet

Wins have been tough to come by for the Raiders this season, however, they have been victorious in two of their last three outings. Fortunately, they now get to face an injury-riddled Saints team that has already ruled out the likes of cornerback Marshon Lattimore, as well as wideouts Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry.

Derek Carr and the rest of the Raiders' offense are likely licking their lips at the upcoming matchup. The Saints have the second-worst scoring defense in the NFL, giving up 28.6 points per contest. Furthermore, they've given up an average of 33 points in their last four outings.

Has the Las Vegas defense been lights out this season? No, but the Saints' offense has turned the ball over a league-leading 16 times in the 2022 campaign. With mistakes happening regardless of who's under center in New Orleans, the Raiders will have plenty of opportunities to get the ball back into Carr's hands.

Factor in the Saints dealing with a slew of injuries and their pre-existing inconsistencies, I'm taking the Raiders to win this one on the road. I'd feel comfortable backing Las Vegas at -116 on the moneyline and as the 1.5-point spread favorite in this one.
