Raiders Get Concerning Update on Darren Waller's Status for Week 9

Updated:

The Las Vegas Raiders will look to bounce back from a brutal loss to the Saints in Week 9. Las Vegas has a winnable game on the table against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but may have to continue working without tight end Darren Waller.

Waller hasn't played since Week 5 of the season as he continues to rehab back from a hamstring injury. As of Sunday morning, his status for Week 9 remains very much up in the air.

NFL insider Adam Schefter reported late on Saturday night that Waller is "unlikely to play." The elite pass-catcher logged three 'limited participant' designations in practice and is listed officially questionable on the injury report.

However, Ian Rapoport revealed a different take on the situation in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Rapoport's sources indicate Waller is a true game time decision. The seven-year pro will work out in warmups before a final decision is made.

Las Vegas is considered a slim 2.5-point favorite, according to NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. Getting Waller back could go a long way in helping the team escape with a close victory.
