Raiders Get Disappointing Josh Jacobs Injury Update

Raiders Get Disappointing Josh Jacobs Injury Update

Updated:

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs nearly didn't play in Week 12 because of a surprising calf injury. Despite the question marks, he rallied for the single best rushing performance in the NFL this season: an incredible 229 yards and two touchdowns.

Unfortunately for Raiders' nation, the impressive Week 12 performance caused Jacobs to reaggravate his calf ailment.

On Sunday, the Raiders got a somewhat disappointing update on Jacobs' status for Week 13.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Jacobs is considered a game-time decision yet again. He "will work out pre-game to see if he can go," and while the team is optimistic, "no one will know for sure until the workout."

This is the exact situation Jacobs found himself in before Week 12's eruption. The Raiders are set for a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff against the Los Angeles Chargers. While Jacobs could easily be cleared to play and enjoy another monster game, Raiders fans would much rather hear that the calf is already back to 100%.

For now, Las Vegas is a 2.5-point home favorite, per NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
