Raiders Cut Lineman Immediately Following Thursday Night Football Collapse

Updated:

The Las Vegas Raiders suffered yet another devastating loss in Week 14. The Raiders collapse on Thursday Night Football to the Los Angeles Rams has become far too familiar for Josh McDaniels' squad this season.

Raiders Release John Simpson

Following the loss, the Raiders released offensive lineman John Simpson. While Simpson was just a fourth-round pick in 2020, he had been a starter all last season for the Raiders and also played the majority of three different games this season.

Simpson is still only 25 years old and now represents a potential great add for a contending team down the stretch. You can never have enough depth on the offensive line and surely plenty of teams will have some level of interest in Simpson.

After playing 93 percent of the Raiders offensive snaps in Week 14, Simpson now finds himself without a team. Las Vegas clearly saw somthing tast caused them to go in a different direction. Although, it might not be long before another team takes a swing on Simpson.
