Quindell Johnson Scouting Report

After a career year in 2021, Quindell Johnson took somewhat of a step back last fall. Still, he was more than productive on defense, racking up 77 tackles, four interceptions, and four broken-up passes, earning first-team All-AAC honors.

Johnson knows how to get to where the ball is going, proven by his 10 interceptions and 24 defended passes over the past four seasons. He's also a reliable tackler who knows how to drag down ball carriers after the catch.

Having said that, Johnson isn't fast enough to stick with the quicker pass-catchers. Quarterbacks have successfully beaten him by passing over the top of him in the past, which is something he must fix to find NFL success.

Quindell Johnson NFL Draft Prediction

Quindell Johnson is a curious case. While some talent is there, four experts project for him to go undrafted over the next two days.

Johnson's college career also left some things to be desired. While he had a 49.2 passer rating when targeted in 2022, he allowed a mark of 94.8 or higher in the previous two seasons, leaving time to tell if the latest campaign was a fluke. The fact that his stats also declined from his junior to senior year also raises some flags.

Although Johnson could very well be a Day 3 selection, the fact that he's mostly projected to go undrafted is telling. Look for him to try and make his way to the NFL as an undrafted free agent.

Prediction: Undrafted
