Quay Walker Has Emotional Response to Week 8 Ejection

Updated:

Tensions flew high in the Green Bay Packers' Week 8 loss to the Buffalo Bills. With the possibility of falling to a disappointing 3-5 record on the table, Green Bay put up an emotional fight. The emotions erupted in the second quarter when rookie Quay Walker was ejected for shoving an inactive Bills players on the sideline.

Walker spoke with media after the game where questions surrounding the ejection stirred an emotional response from the starting linebacker.

According to insider Matt Schneidman, Walker's explanation for the incident resulted in the young defender fighting back tears.

Perhaps knowing he fumbled an opportunity to keep his Packers hanging around in a hard-fought game was enough for Walker to illicit such emotions. The rookie left the game in the second quarter with a team-leading five tackles. His 57 combined tackles ranks second on the team, behind only De'Vondre Campbell.

Walker and the Packers will look to turn things around in Week 9 when they visit their NFC North foe Detroit Lions. The early NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook show Green Bay as 3.5-point road favorites.
