Saturday, March 11's NCAA college basketball schedule includes the No. 5 Purdue Boilermakers going one-on-one with the Ohio State Buckeyes in a Big Ten Tournament semifinal showdown.

Purdue advanced to this stage following a 70-65 victory over Rutgers that saw Mason Gillis finish with a game-high 20 points on 7-of-8 shooting. On the other side, a strong first-half showing was all Ohio State needed to pull off a 68-58 win against Michigan State.

Which of these Big Ten foes has what it takes to make an appearance in the tournament final?

Purdue vs Ohio State Prediction & Pick

Purdue has made beating Ohio State a trend over recent years. The Boilermakers are 9-3 in their last 12 meetings with the Buckeyes and have won each of the last three chapters in this rivalry. Purdue has already beaten OSU twice this season, including by 27 points in their latest meeting just last month.

Ohio State is also in a tough spot as Brice Sensabaugh is questionable to suit up due to a knee injury. He paces his team with a 16.3 PPG clip and while the Buckeyes didn't miss him in the victory over Michigan State, his absence will likely be felt in a matchup with the fifth-best team in the country.

With Ohio State also playing its fourth game in as many days, I expect fatigue to play a factor. Purdue has a great mix of offense and defense, leading to my belief that the Buckeyes won't be able to hang for too long.

Final Score Prediction: Purdue: 75 | Ohio State: 68

Purdue vs Ohio State Best Bet

While I'm siding with Purdue to win, Ohio State's success covering the spread can't be ignored. Not only are the Buckeyes 6-0 ATS in their last six games, but they've also covered in each of their last five Big Ten contests. On the flip side, the Boilermakers are 1-6 ATS in their last seven and have covered just twice in their previous 13 games played in March.

Purdue's going to win this game, but don't be shocked if Ohio State makes things somewhat interesting.

Bet: Ohio State +7.5 (-110)
