The 2022 men's FIFA World Cup in Qatar is set to kick off on Nov. 20 and runs though Dec. 18. The soccer tournament watched throughout the world is one of the biggest and most unifying events in sports outside of the Olympics.

Beginning with the Group stage, four teams will battle it out to earn two spots from their group and advance to the Knockout stage, adopting a traditional bracket format from there and eventually naming a champion of the world.

World Cup Draw and Groups 2022

There are eight groups, A-H, and four teams within each group, bringing the total of participating nations to 32. The United States men's team will compete in Group B alongside England, Iran and Wales.
