Pringles Super Bowl 2023 Commercial Sees Meghan Trainor Getting Stuck

Updated:

Another Super Bowl is upon us, which means plenty of star-studded commercials are on the way. Pringles got in on the fun by showcasing an extremely relatable scenario in an ad featuring pop singer Meghan Trainor.

Check out Pringles' 2023 Super Bowl commercial below:

Pringles Super Bowl Commercial 2023

The commercial opens at a birthday party as an unsuspecting teenager gets his hand stuck in a can of Pringles. His grandfather assures him not to worry and that it's a scenario that "happens to the best of us."

The grandfather provides examples, saying that surgeons, judges and airport ground crews get their hands caught in Pringles cans. What makes this even funnier is that we're shown examples of the aforementioned individuals trying to do their jobs while their hand is stuck in a can.

The grandfather ensures that even Meghan Trainor has dealt with the struggle, showing her trying to pet her dog with her Pringles can-trapped hand. After that, we're given shots of bowlers and chess players getting caught by the delicious trap.

However, the hilarity is taken to a new level when the grandfather tells the teenager that "even your real father" has gotten his hand stuck in a Pringles can. Even though "little cousin Timmy" also gets his hand stuck (before even being born), the grandson is too perplexed by the fact that his father might not be his actual one.

The commercial ends with the grandfather telling a now-reassured teenager to get back to the party.

At the end of the day, everyone who's ever bought Pringles can relate to their hand getting stuck as you near the bottom of the can. The fact that Pringles recognizes this "design flaw" and turned it into a commercial proves that the company is in on the joke.

While the premise of the commercial is hilarious on its own, it only gets more absurd as time goes on. The whole twist with the "real" father came out of left field, ensuring that this ad will be remembered for years to come.

The addition of "Simply the Best' By Tina Turner playing in the background is the icing on the cake... err, Pringles can.
