Potential Jerry Jeudy Trade Suitor Emerges Ahead of Deadline

Updated:

Denver Broncos wideout Jerry Jeudy has found himself in trade rumors over the last few weeks. New management and coaching regimes led to the idea of Jeudy being moved and now a potential suitor has emerged, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

Raanan reports that the New York Giants are one team with interest in Jeudy. Although, it's believed that the "price would have to be right" for the Giants to pull the trigger.

Jerry Jeudy Trade Rumors

Raanan adds that the Giants might not be in the position to meet the Broncos' lofty demands. After all, Jeudy is only 23 years old and still has another year remaining on his rookie contract. With his being on pace for another 800-plus yard season, it isn't a shock that Denver wants a decent haul.

The Giants currently have nine picks lined up for the 2023 NFL Draft. They hold at least one pick in each round, including two third-rounders and a pair in the seventh round.

Nevertheless, the Giants desperately need a wide receiver of Jeudy's talents. Darius Slayton and rookie Wan'Dale Robinson are the only notable healthy wideouts that New York has right now. If the team wants to make good on its 6-2 start to the season, more help is needed.

Meanwhile, Jeudy has already racked up 449 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 30 catches in eight games. For comparison, Slayton and Robinson have combined for 28 receptions, 339 yards and two TDs while playing seven and four games, respectively.

Jeudy's 15.0 yards per reception this season is also better than any wideout currently on the Giants. The Deerfield Beach, FL native's presence would be a massive boon for quarterback Daniel Jones, who's already having one of the better years of his career, but is only averaging 174.9 passing yards per game.

Giants fans will know if they should order Jeudy jerseys in less than 24 hours. The 2022 NFL trade deadline takes place at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
