Pocono Raceway Weather Forecast for Sunday's NASCAR M&M's Fan Appreciation 400 in Pennsylvania

NASCAR fans are eager with anticipation ahead of this weekend's M&M's Fan Appreciation 400. Summer is the perfect time for racing, but that doesn't mean unfavorable conditions aren't a possibility.

Here's everything weather-related fans need to know ahead of NASCAR festivities at Pocono Raceway.

The M&M's Fan Appreciation 400 is scheduled to take place at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 24 in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. Qualifying is slated for one day earlier at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 16. There'll also be Xfinity Series, Camping World Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series races this Friday and Saturday.

This weekend's forecast for Long Pond, according to weather.com, is definitely on the warmer side as summer heats up. Friday has a high of 86 degrees with winds from 5-10 mph. The skies are expected to be mainly sunny, though a shower or thunderstorm remains a small possibility.

The forecast for Saturday's qualifying period is great as well, with a high of 88 degrees, mostly sunny skies, winds from 5-10 mph and just a 9% chance of rain.

Sunday features a projected high of 89 degrees with partly cloudy skies. There's a 24% chance of rain and winds will reach 10-15 mph.

NASCAR fans should have little worries about weather impacting this weekend's races. Those in the stands will certainly catch some rays and should prepare for high temps accordingly.
