One full month after the Golden State Warriors were crowned 2021-22 champions, the NBA world's attention turned towards Summer League action. Detroit Pistons Summer League

The Detroit Pistons haven't made the playoffs in three years, but improved slightly upon a two-year stretch of just 20 wins last year. Detroit upped that total to 23 wins, but still has work to do. The pieces of the rebuild are falling in place, however, with the early successes of Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey and Isaiah Stewart.

After the dust settled on draft night, Detroit walked away with rookies Jalen Duren and Jaden Ivey. Both players went in the top-15, which will continue to jumpstart their rebuild. Nerlens Noel and Alec Burks joined the roster via a draft night trade with the New York Knicks, the franchise also re-signed Marvin Bagley, and the starting five shapes up with youngsters Cunningham, Ivey, Bey, and Stewart.

Let's take a look at everything Detroit Pistons related as Summer League action got underway on Thursday, July 7.

The guard combination of Cunningham and Ivey is an exciting proposition and look at the future of Pistons basketball.

Jalen Duren will also be a name to watch, considering he's looked at as more of a project. The forward/center roles are Stewart and Bagley's for the time being, but Duren has already impressed in early Summer League action.
