Pistons vs Magic Prediction & Pick

Neither one of these teams participated in the Salt Lake City or California Classic leagues, meaning fans are seeing some of these players on an NBA court for the first time ever. Detroit is bringing back some notable rotation players, though, as Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren are expected to be out there.

That'll make a difference as Ivey averaged 16.3 points per game and Duren averaged 8.9 rebounds per game last season. Not only can those two stuff the stat sheet, but they can help Thompson and other young pros get involved. The Magic do not have the depth to repliacte that same strategy.

The Pistons have a shot to win the entire Summer League and prove that with a win on Saturday.

Final Score Prediction: Pistons: 96 | Magic: 89

Pistons vs Magic Best Bet

Size is going to be an issue for the Magic. They only have one player on the Summer League roster listed as a center and it is Kai Sotto. Sotto has the height to compete with Duren, but loses the weight battle. That means Duren has a chance to pound the paint and get to the rim over and over just as he did in the NBA last year. He could reach the 15-point mark before the fourth quarter even begins.

Bet: Jalen Duren to Score 15+ Points (-112)
