Philadelphia Trolls Astros With Funny Highway Billboard

Updated:

The World Series is heading to Philadelphia after the Phillies and the Houston Astros split the first two games in Houston. Now with home field advantage taken back and the opportunity to win the World Series without ever having to go back to Houston, the city is rallying around the team and making sure the Astros are feeling as unwelcome as possible.

Top Dog Law purchased a billboard that read "Had a funny sign but the Astros stole it." Which is a clear dig at the Astros, and their sign-stealing cheating scandal.

Yes, the plot and scope of the Astros cheating scandal was uncovered in 2019, but people don't forget, especially sports fans, and especially sports fans from the northeast. They are the most dedicated fans in the country and any way or method they can use to get inside their opponents head will be taken advantage of.

Despite it being three years since the cheating was uncovered to the nation, stars from those teams like Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman still remain in Houston. The stain of that cheating will follow them around for the rest of their careers, and rightfully so.

And until every Astro that was on the team from 2017-2019 is gone, the team will still continue to be reminded of what the franchise did. Even after they're all gone, sports fans don't forget, and they shouldn't. Philly is just doing what it's supposed to, and it gives everyone outside of Texas that much more reason to root for them.

The Phillies are +112 home underdogs in Gae 3 of the World Series, according to FanDuel sportsbook's latest MLB odds.
