Pelicans vs Trail Blazers Game Info

2022 NBA Summer League Game
New Orleans Pelicans (0-0) vs. Portland Trail Blazers (0-1)
Date: Saturday, July 9, 2022
Time: 10 p.m. ET
Venue: Thomas & Mack Center — Las Vegas, NV
Coverage: ESPN2

The New Orleans Pelicans and Portland Trail Blazers square off their Las Vegas Summer League action on Saturday. The Pelicans' roster is filled with fresh faces as only six of their players have at least one year of NBA experience under their belt.

Meanwhile, it's the complete opposite for the Trail Blazers. Portland only has five rookies on its Summer League roster, with the most important being 2022 seventh overall pick Shaedon Sharpe. The up-and-coming Canadian talent exited Thursday's loss against the Detroit Pistons with an injury, so fans are patiently waiting to see if he plays tonight.

Pelicans vs Trail Blazers Prediction & Pick

The Trail Blazers' roster already wasn't that intriguing to begin with and it'll take a bigger hit if Sharpe doesn't end up playing. They simply don't have too many game-changers on their roster and it's going to be tough to go up against a New Orleans squad that kept things close against the Detroit Pistons, who are seen as one of the best teams in Summer League.

I'm taking the Pelicans as 3.5-point spread favorites.
