Patriots vs Vikings Prediction Week 12

Early NFL predictions and picks are from ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI).
Patriots: 31.8% to win
Vikings: 67.9% to win

The Vikings already won their first game against an AFC East opponent when they topped the Buffalo Bills in Week 10. There's no reason to doubt that this 8-1 Vikings squad is legit. New England will be able to stick around in this contest, especially thanks to a secondary that ranks second in Football Outsiders' pass-defense DVOA metric. That should neutralize Justin Jefferson and the Vikings' best offensive weapon. Fortunately for Minnesota, Dalvin Cook already has 700+ rushing yards and 6 TDs. He'll prove the difference-marker here in a close contest. Take Minnesota on the ML.

This contest will go a long way in determining which team comes out on top in a crowded NFC East division. Dallas earned a 7-point win against the Giants at MetLife Stadium back in Week 3, but that was with Cooper Rush at quarterback. Dak Prescott has thrown 21 touchdowns compared to only 5 interceptions against the Giants in his career. He'll be the difference-maker here. Take Dallas -7.
