Patrick Mahomes Calls Out Andre Cisco's Hit on JuJu Smith-Schuster

Updated:

There was plenty of controversy during the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jags safety Andre Cisco was at the center of several questionable plays, including a seemingly dirty hit on Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith Schuster that knocked him out of the game with a concussion.

It's safe to say Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was not happy about the play.

Mahomes told reporters after the game, "We want to get that out of the league as much as possible." Though officials ultimately decided it was a legal hit, it's very clear Kansas City's QB isn't thrilled with Cisco being allowed to tee off on players like that.

Making this collision even worse was the fact refs picked up the flag that was initially thrown on the play. One official said after the contest Cisco's hit was deemed clean since he led with his shoulder, but there was clear helmet-to-helmet contact as well.

Sunday's collision will be yet another part of the ongoing player safety discussion this season. Hopefully Smith-Schuster is able to recover quickly after that scary play.
