The Rams lost their season opener and it marked the first time that the team was ever under .500 with Sean McVay as the head coach. Back-to-back wins seemed to have LA back on track, but that was not the case. The Rams have been outscored 46-19 across two losses over the last two weeks.

With matchups against the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the horizon, now is the time for LA to bounce back. The Rams' best chance of winning this game is by focusing on the ground game. Carolina is allowing the sixth-most rushing yards per game in the NFL (137.8).

If the Rams can grab an early lead by leaning on Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson, it's unlikely the Panthers have the firepower to mount a comeback. Carolina is averaging a league-low 271.4 total yards per game and turn to QB PJ Walker on Sunday. Walker has only started 2 career NFL games.

The Panthers are a dismal 1-11 against the spread (ATS) over their last 12 games and must travel all the way across the country for this game. I'll take the Rams -10 and side with under 41.5 points to be scored. The under has hit in five of the last seven head-to-head meetings between LA and Carolina.
