Clemson is very good, but not this good. They were exposed three weeks ago in a 35-14 loss at Notre Dame while gaining just 280 yards offense. Clemson also trailed to Syracuse 21-10 into the fourth quarter before escaping at home 27-21 a month ago. We've seen that Syracuse is not as good as they showed earlier in the season, and really neither is overrated Clemson.

Playing in the weakest Power 5 conference, the Tigers are not CFB Playoff worthy, nor a good bet spotting these inflated points to a capable 'Cocks team who just took down Tennessee 63-38. One major tout service had Tennessee as its 'Game of the Year'. Ugh.

Inflation is never a good thing, and especially when betting on overvalued and overbet teams. Clemson as a slightly above average pass defense in the ACC, and the Tigers 412 yards per game offense ranks No. 6 in the ACC. In fact, vs FBS foes, the Tigers run for an average of 188 YPG and pass for 220 per game. That's pretty balanced and solid, but put Clemson in the SEC, and they too would have 3 or 4 losses like South Carolina.

South Carolina's run defense is a concern in this match-up, but not enough to worry about with these big points. Don't be shocked if South Carolina snaps Clemson's 10-game home winnning streak.
