Packers Reveal Important Update on Christian Watson's Hip Injury

Updated:

The Green Bay Packers enter Sunday's NFC North clash against the Minnesota Vikings with a lot on the line. Not only does this game change bragging rights within the division, but the Packers need to keep winning ballgames in order to make their fourth straight playoff appearance.

That's only heightened the importance of Christian Watson's health heading into Week 17. The rookie wideout picked up a hip injury in Week 16 and did not take any live reps during practice this past week.

On Sunday morning, the Packers revealed an important update on their dynamic rookie receiver.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, Watson heads into this clash as a true game time decision. The Packers are going to "test" his injury during the pre-game warmups before making a final decision on his status. He also indicated that Green Bay is hopeful he can play.

Watson really came into form after Week 10 of the season. Since then, he's averaged 4.2 receptions (6.8 targets) per game with 408 total receiving yards and 7 touchdowns.

The Packers are considered slim 3-point home favorites against the Vikings, according to NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
