Packers-Odell Beckham Rumors Shockingly Reignite

Updated:

With the Green Bay Packers losing seven of their last eight games, and sitting far outside the NFC playoff picture, it makes sense for the team to start looking forward to the 2023 season. That rang especially true when NFL insider Adam Schefter ruled Green Bay out of the Odell Beckham Jr. free agency sweepstakes just last week.

But, another league insider thinks differently and it's caused the Packers-OBJ rumors to shockingly reignite.

According to Matt Lombardo and his sources, the Packers could be a team "making a desperate push" by signing Beckham.

The report also suggested the 5-6 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who still sit in first place in the NFC South, are another team looking for a desperation move.

While injuries have clearly played a factor, Green Bay's offense is struggling without any true weapons for quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He's posted the second-worst QB rating of his career and is one pace for the fewest passing yards in a single season since taking over as a starter.

The news may come as shocking to Packers fans, who should take this with a grain of salt. After all, an AFC coach reporting this rumor may not have the most complete grasp on Green Bay's inner workings.
