Coverage: NBA TV

The 2022-23 NBA season has another slate of action-packed games planned for Monday, Oct. 31. One game is a rematch from just a few nights ago as the Indiana Pacers take on the Brooklyn Nets. The Pacers scored a 125-116 victory over the Nets on Saturday, led by Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin combining for 58 points on 15-of-32 (46.9%) shooting.

Can the Pacers figure out a way to win their third straight game? Or will the Nets get revenge for Saturday night and put a halt to their four-game losing streak in the process?

Pacers vs Nets Odds & Spread

All NBA betting lines, odds and prop bets are from FanDuel Sportsbook.
Moneyline: IND: (+310) | BKN: (-390)
Spread: IND: +8.5 (-108) | BKN: -8.5 (-112)
Total: 236.5 —Over: (-110) | Under: (-110)

The Nets enter this contest as clear home favorites on the moneyline and spread on FanDuel Sportsbook's odds. This 7:30 p.m. ET clash also features an over/under of 236.5 points, which is the highest of Monday's projected totals.

Pacers vs Nets Prediction & Pick

The Nets were upset by the Pacers because they were dominated in two areas: rebounding and three-point shooting. Not only was Brooklyn outrebounded, 53-34, by Indiana, but the former also let the opposition connect on 23-of-46 (50%) of its three-point attempts. While the Nets' 14 three-pointers on 39 attempts were respectable, it wasn't good enough.

The Nets also came up short because nobody outside of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant has shown up this season. The superstar duo combined for 61 points in defeat while their other eight Brooklyn teammates combined for just 55.

Still, it's hard to imagine the Nets being this bad forever. The talent is there to beat a team like the Pacers, even with the likes of Haliburton and Mathurin looking great this season. Durant and Irving hate losing, though, and I'd expect another bounce-back game from the pair.

As long as the Nets' supporting cast — such as Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Joe Harris — steps up, they should be able to win on Halloween night. Nevertheless, with the Pacers having already beaten them, I'm expecting this to be closer than the spread implies.

Final Score Prediction: Pacers: 115 | Nets: 120

Pacers vs Nets Betting Trends

- Indiana is 1-7 straight up in its last eight games against Brooklyn.
- Brooklyn is 1-9 against the spread (ATS) in its last 10 home games against Indiana.
- The total has hit the over in 11 of Indiana's last 14 games.
- The total has hit the under in five of Brooklyn's last seven games against the Central Division.

Pacers vs Nets Best Bet

Even though I project the Nets to win, the Pacers should keep this close. After all, not only is Indiana 4-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last five games against Brooklyn, but it's also 9-1 ATS in its last 10 trips to the Barclays Center.

In other words back the Pacers as 8.5-point underdogs in what should be a relatively close game.

Bet: Pacers +8.5 (-108)
