With the 2022-23 college football regular season in the rearview mirror, bowl games are right around the corner. The Arizona Bowl is set for kickoff on Friday, Dec. 30, and pits the Ohio Bobcats against the Wyoming Cowboys. It will be Wyoming's second appearance at the Arizona Bowl, but Ohio's first.

Ohio finished the regular season with a 9-3 record before falling to Toledo by a score of 17-7 in the MAC Championship Game. On the other side, Wyoming started the year 7-3 before dropping games to Boise State and Fresno State to end the season. Which team will be able to recapture the momentum?

Ohio vs Wyoming Odds & Spread

Moneyline: OHIO: (-120) | WYO: (+100)
Spread: OHIO: -1.5 (-108) | WYO: +1.5 (-112)
Total: 42.5 — Over: (-118) | Under: (-104)

Ohio enters this contest as a slight favorite on the moneyline and spread. This clash also features a total of 42.5 points, which is well below average when compared to the rest of the college football bowl slate.

Ohio vs Wyoming Prediction & Pick

The Bobcats are a completely different team on offense compared to on defense. Ohio ranks 47th in points per game (29.7) and averages a reliable 5.9 yards per play (No. 39 in FBS). However, it ranks 98th in yards allowed per game (420.5) and gives up a dismal 5.8 yards per play (No. 94 in FBS).

I still give the Bobcats the edge here as Wyoming doesn't have the firepower to keep up on the scoreboard. The Cowboys average just 19.6 points per game (No. 109 in FBS) and haven't put up more than 17 points in a game since October. That means a few touchdowns likely wins it for Ohio.

Ohio is 5-0 straight up in its last five games as a favorite, so give me the Bobcats in this showdown.

Final Score Prediction: Ohio: 27 | Wyoming: 17

Ohio vs Wyoming Betting Trends

- Ohio is 9-4 against the spread (ATS) this season.
- The total has hit the over in seven of Ohio's 13 games this season.
- Wyoming is 6-6 ATS this season.
- The total has hit the under in seven of Wyoming's 12 games this season.

Ohio vs Wyoming Best Bet

It's worth noting that Ohio had covered the spread in eight straight games prior to its 10-point loss in the MAC Championship. That was also the Bobcats' first outright loss since October 1. The players are going to be motivated to end the season on a high note for second-year head coach Tim Albin.

Wyoming is 1-4 straight up in its last five games as an underdog and is coming off a defeat in which everything went wrong. The Cowboys were shut out by Fresno State, 30-0, and logged only 191 yards of total offense. The likelihood of them mounting a comeback if they go down early is low.

Bet: Ohio Bobcats ML (-120)
