The 2022-23 NBA season only has two games planned for Thursday, Nov. 3. One of the two is a matchup between the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder. After going 4-1 over a week-long stretch, the Nuggets were brought back down to earth with a 121-110 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Thunder aim to win their fourth consecutive game on Thursday. Oklahoma City picked up a 116-108 victory over the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, marking the squad's third straight home win. Unsurprisingly, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the star of the show, finishing with 34 points, four rebounds and six assists in 33 minutes of work.

Nuggets vs Thunder Prediction & Pick
This matchup isn't the first time that the Nuggets and Thunder have squared off this season. They faced off at Ball Arena nearly two weeks ago as Denver scored a 122-117 victory. The Nuggets' victory was their seven in the last nine outings against the Thunder, highlighting just how dominant the former has been.
Furthermore, the Nuggets are 6-2 straight up in their last eight road games against the Thunder.
Outside of Gilgeous-Alexander, the Nuggets don't have much to worry about. Though he's scored 27-plus points in three of his last four games against Denver, the 28-piece that the Nuggets held him to on Oct. 22 is his second-lowest point total of the season so far. Obviously, that's still a pretty solid total, however, it shows that Denver knows how to slow him down.
Considering how the Thunder haven't exactly been blowing opponents out on their hot streak, I could see the Nuggets beating them for the second time this season. Nikola Jokic and co. are bound to explode sooner than later and it makes sense for them to do so against a team that they've already found success against this year.
Final Score Prediction: Nuggets: 118 | Thunder: 113

- The total has hit the over in four of Oklahoma City's last six games.
Nuggets vs Thunder Best Bet
Though I project the Nuggets to win, don't count on them covering the spread. After all, Denver is 0-5 against the spread in its last five outings against Oklahoma City. Furthermore, the Nuggets also have a bottom-10 defense, indicating that they may not have the tools to keep the Thunder out of the game.
I'm taking the Thunder on the spread with Oklahoma City being relatively competitive thus far, especially at home, I'm taking the Thunder on the spread.
Bet: Thunder +6.5 (-110)
