Wednesday, March 8's NCAA college basketball slate features more ACC Tournament action, including a second-round collision between the North Carolina Tar Heels and Boston College Eagles.

North Carolina received a bye in the first round, hoping that the rest helps the team bounce back from a 62-57 loss to Duke in the regular-season finale. Meanwhile, Boston College was in first-round action less than 24 hours ago, notching an 80-62 blowout win over Louisville with help from starting lineup combining for 64 points.

Can North Carolina prove that its rest paid off? Or will Boston College keep the ball rolling with another win?

UNC vs Boston College Prediction & Pick

Boston College had its fun yesterday, but now North Carolina will bring its ACC rival back down to earth. The Tar Heels are eager to get back on track and will rely on their offense to do so. They average 76.5 PPG (No. 46) and while they only shoot 43.3% from the floor (No. 238), they do average 9.6 offensive rebounds per game (T-No. 76) to make up for it.

On top of that, North Carolina has won 15 of its last 16 meetings with Boston College — including a 72-64 win on Jan. 12. There's also a chance that the Eagles could be without Quinten Post, who suffered an ankle injury last night. Considering how Post leads his team in both points and defensive rebounds per game, Boston College could be in trouble.

While it might not be as big of a landslide as the odds imply, North Carolina is in a much better position to pick up the win tonight.

Final Score Prediction: North Carolina: 77 | Boston College: 69

UNC vs Boston College Best Bet

Although I expect the Tar Heels to win, I'm not a fan of their being 11.5-point favorites. North Carolina is an abysmal 3-8 ATS in its last 11 games and has failed to cover in eight straight contests on a Wednesday. On the flip side, Boston College is 8-3 ATS in its last 11 Wednesday contests and 4-1 ATS in its previous five outings.

Covering the spread in each of its last two games against North Carolina, look for Boston College to keep things closer than projected.

Bet: Boston College +11.5 (-110)
