NL Rookie of the Year Odds: Michael Harris and Oneil Cruz Emerge as Favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook

Updated:

The shakeup of National League Rookie of the Year odds continues as the 4th of July weekend arrives. Nearly halfway through the season, and new rookies continue to emerge.

San Diego Padres pitcher MacKenzie Gore had increased his lead three weeks ago, but he's now +600 and sitting behind Michael Harris II (+370) and Oneil Cruz (+420), who have both been recent MLB call-ups.

Harris is already one of the games most gifted outfielders, and the 21-year-old five-tool player is hitting .316 with 4 HR and 17 RBI in 117 at bats. He also has 4 stolen bases, and 13 of his 37 hits are for extra bases.

Cruz is hitting just .217 in his first 46 at bats this season with 2 HR and 11 RBI. The 23-year-old 6-foot-7 shortstop has a rifle arm and projects to hit for more power.

Braves pitcher Spencer Strider has moved up from +4500 to +750 over the past three weeks, while the Cardinals Brendan Donovan is up from +2500 to +1000. Strider has 3 wins in 6 starts and 17 appearances with a 3.02 ERA and 79 Ks in 53.2 innings with just 36 hits allowed.
