New Update Emerges on Chiefs-Laremy Tunsil Trade Rumors
The Kansas City Chiefs wasted no time addressing their offensive line on Monday, agreeing to a huge deal with free agent tackle Jawaan Taylor. However, it appears KC may not be done adding to that unit as rumors involving the team and Houston Texans OT Laremy Tunsil have also popped up.
A new update has now emerged on the Tunsil situation.
Aaron Wilson of NBC 2 in Houston, who originally reported the Tunsil-Chiefs connection, added more information Tuesday morning. He said Kansas City exploring a deal for the three-time Pro Bowler is "more than rumors," with both front offices having "conversations" about a trade.
The fact Wilson highlights these teams have spoken several times, rather than just once, shows there's a legitimate possibility of this happening. If the price was too high, or the Chiefs offered too little, both front offices would've moved on by now.
Of course, this potential trade hinges on Kansas City figuring out what it will do with Orlando Brown Jr. Some think the two sides could ultimately reunite, but the team exploring a Tunsil deal shows they have a backup plan ready in case that situation is unsalvageable.
