Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has been making headlines lately, but not for the reason you think. While the legendary gunslinger is known for his work on the gridiron, a conspiracy theory has emerged that he's one of the hidden celebrities on 'The Masked Singer.'

The idea first emerged when Brady was given some time away from training camp for "personal reasons" earlier in August. Some fans thought he was away filming the show, but Brady quickly denied those rumors.

However, a 'Masked Singer' clip shared by TMZ on Wednesday has only re-ignited that conspiracy theory.

Tom Brady Masked Singer

In the clip, actor and comedian Ken Jeong — who is a 'Masked Singer' judge — initially guesses that Peyton Manning is in the hummingbird costume. However, he quickly pivots to it being Brady under the mask, citing his training camp absence and build as two reasons behind his logic.

Fans of Brady (and the show itself) must wait a while to find out if the seven-time Super Bowl Champion moonlights as a well-dressed singing bird in his spare time. The clip cuts off right before the reveal and the new season of 'The Masked Singer' isn't set to air until Sept. 20.

'The Masked Singer' is a singing competition where celebrities — ranging from athletes to musicians — compete under hidden larger-than-life personas. Judges must then guess their identities based on a series of clues until only one competitor is left standing.

Assuming he's the hummingbird, Brady would hardly be the first NFL talent to appear on the show. Hall-of-Fame QB Terry Bradshaw was a 'Masked Singer' contestant a few seasons ago, as were two of TB12's former teammates: Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski.

For now, only time will tell if Brady missed practice to be a singing competition contestant. However, if that is the case, he certainly proved one thing: there isn't anything that Tom Brady can't do.
