This NFL postseason will feature a new wrinkle, as the AFC Championship Game may be held at a neutral site if the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills both advance to that stage. Fans on both sides are eager to know what stadium ends up being chosen.

Well, the official host of that contest has potentially been revealed.

Bob Fescoe of 610 Sports in Kansas City reports Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the "likely" neutral site that will be used for the AFCCG. The Falcons' home has also hosted major college football bowl games, including the national championship game in 2017, so it's more than up to the task.

Fescoe reiterated Atlanta is the frontrunner on Wednesday morning, though he added New Orleans is also in contention. He revealed each team's desired locales, with the Chiefs wanting Las Vegas and the Bills wanting Cleveland or Pittsburgh.

If these teams are arguing for different venues, then Atlanta could be the perfect middle given its history holding large sporting events. NFL insider Ian Rapoport also said Mercedes-Benz Stadium was in the mix when it was initially revealed a neutral site was on the table, which backs up Fescoe's recent reporting.

The league is rumored to be making a decision this week on the neutral site that will be used. Clearing this up will give these teams some peace of mind as they prepare for a grueling playoff run.
